About this role
A hands-on online internship for final-year BS Remote Sensing & GIS students.
Over 12 weeks you complete 24 guided tasks (2 per week) across four real Pakistani projects:
1. A district profile map built in QGIS and Python
2. Mapping the 2025 Punjab floods with Sentinel-1 radar in Google Earth Engine
3. Land cover classification with your own field data, Random Forest and satellite embeddings
4. GeoAI building extraction, a live web map, and a mini-project linked to your FYP
You work with the free tools employers use — QGIS, Google Earth Engine, Python (Colab), QField and GitHub — and learn to use AI assistants to write code and to check whether results are right.
Every task is submitted on GitHub, so you finish with a public portfolio. Interns who meet the requirements receive an MRS certificate, and strong performers may join a 12-week advanced track to build an FYP-grade project.
